Pumpkin Carving

Well this past Saturday we had our Kokinda family pumpkin carving night at Aunt Erin's. I made some cool desserts, even though I don't consider myself a baker by any means, they still looked cool.

Everyone carved a pumpkin except for Ella she had those dog plug in things and was happy eating the raw pumpkin (I know gross.) All the pumpkins came out pretty neat.

My sister in law Katie started this tradition about 4 years ago (I think) so since she is in Hawaii living in a tropical paradise, Erin decided to have the pumpkin carving night at her house.
OK, well on another note, we had gymnastics again this Thursday and Ella got a stamp, before you get excited that she was great keep reading. Apparently the really good listeners got three stamps (Julia did), the OK listeners got two stamps, and the ones who didn't listen to well got one (that was Ella.) So, she is still trying. Her coach said she was better this week compared to last week and she didn't run away. She was just hanging all over the coach and not participating toward the end. On that note we just "Keep Moving Forward." I will up date you on next weeks lesson.
We are going to the State Fair on the 25Th of October. My niece Gabby has never been so this will be her first time. Were all excited to see her reaction to the Fair Craziness and the Crash Up Derby. I should have plenty of pictures then. I have posted the most recent picture of the girls below this.

Hello Is Anyone There!

Yes, I know I have been very slack with the blog. My life has been very occupied with many things. First, Edward Cullen took over my life for a good two week. I was addicted to him, he consumed me. No I have not left John! Those of you that don't know who he is, he is a character in the book series Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. I started reading the first one and went out and purchased the continuing three and it took over my life. I have gotten everyone I know just as addicted and I am glad to know it has taken over there lives also. Enough with Edward,
Next came Johnny's birthday the big 34 (yes I am a cradle robber) and finally Ella had a birthday also. She turned 3 on September 19, 2008. She received some great gifts especially from family out of town. Aunt Marie sent her a baby doll that talks and she brings it everywhere with her, Aunt Katie and Uncle Brian sent her a T-shirt and necklace from Hawaii with some great chocolate that mommy and daddy mostly ate. Her party was Dora themed and we had a hay ride and a pinata we had a great time and I think Ella enjoyed herself. Ella received a lot of gifts at her party and one of our friends made a comment that "she probably didn't get this much at Christmas" which is very true. Thanks to you all that attended and for the wonderful presents you gave Ella.
The girls have started gymnastics together. There in the same class and split for the last half hour. They have gone three weeks now and at the end of each class they get stamps if they behave. Well, Ella has come out of class with stamps ONCE. They say she runs away and wont stay with her class. So I am now going to use Tootsie Pops as an incentive. I went right to food Lion and got some today. If they get a stamp after Gymnastics they get a Tootsie Pop. Julia got one today and Ella was mad, not upset mad! Her arms crossed and face puckered up it was actually funny. She is a trip.
Ella is also having a hard time with the Pooping thing. She now goes in her closet and shuts the door or will hide between her dresser and the night stand to poop. She is potty trained but just doesn't want to let the poop go. OH, well as my mother in law always says "THIS TO SHALL PASS" So, I think I have updated you guys a bit. I will put pictures of Ella's party up when my sister in law EMILY sends them to me (hint, hint) She was the photographer that day. As she is at every family function she is the official family tourist. (love ya Em!)
Well love to you all and I miss ya bunches. Kerriann

P.S. If you want to see some cute kids while you wait for updated ones of mine check out The Baldwins blog and the Fox Family blog. Those are my adorable nieces. Galina who is 2 1/2 months old and Gabby who is now as of today 11 months.
