Well the Play Dough was a hit. I asked John to bring home extra flour yesterday and he brought home self rising. I figured OK! why not? Hey it worked and they loved it. It was kind of sticky at first and it probably wont last long. I used the uncooked recipe. I might make the cooked one another day. I really wanted the girls to have a part in making it today.
They made some really great sculptures. Ella made a snowman and said "Aunt Katie will really, really, really love this" Julia made a flower that came out great. She really did a wonderful job. Julia keeps asking can we paint now. She is very excited. Ella's snowman looks more like a melted ice-cream in a dish but hey she's 2
I would post a picture but I want Katie to be surprised. When she gets the sculptures she can post it on her blog.
So tomorrow we will paint them. I told Johnny if I do something hands on with them everyday, they seam to be a little less crazy, and hey it's fun for me. You all know I love Kindergarten, and now I get to do it at home.
Well if you want the recipe let me know. I also have a kool-aid play dough recipe which smells great, although Ella may actually eat that one. It only took her and hour to actually taste this.
Also, Katie I think your idea for edible paint is great. Thanks Kerriann
oh yeah, I actually cooked their sculptures for about 15 minutes to speed up the hardening process and noticed the self-rising flour. They got a little puffy oh well there still great.
